Work
An activity, such as a job, that a person uses physical or mental effort to do, usually for money (1) . Work status: the change in the status of a worker in his/her occupation. A worker may change status from a full-time employee, part-time employee, (Editor’s Note: include unemployed?) or an employee on a casual basis. It can also be positional change, i.e.: field work to administrative. It is an outcome comparing pre-injury vs. post-injury changes (2). Work productivity and performance: effectiveness of job-related behavior as measured against a specific criterion of success, such as quantity or quality of output (2). Work role functioning: perceived difficulties in meeting work demands among employees given their physical health or emotional problems (2).
