Trauma- and stress-related disorders

Mental dysfunction that may result when an individual lives through or witnesses an event in which he or she believes that there is a threat to life or physical integrity and safety and experiences fear, terror, or helplessness. Including screening for posttraumatic stress disorder. This is a group of disorders defined in the DSM-5 and ICD-11 as a spectrum of disorders that can be caused by stress, e.g., an accident (1,2).
