Verification

The verification of a system, method, or model is the process of checking that a system, method or model meets the design specifications that were set at the beginning of the development procedure.
The application of the concept of “verification” to computational models can be defined as the process of determining that a simulation model (computational model + solver) accurately represents the underlying mathematical model and its solution. This is done by comparing the simulation model response with its underlying equations (1).
